Out of hibernation!
Hope all had a good winter. Even if the calendar says it’s spring, I’m not sure if winter is over yet. My blogging was in dormant mode through the winter, not what I planned but what became reality, oh well. ;~D I guess I have some catching up to do.
Last December, I had the opportunity to do my first boy newborn photo shoot. Since the session was just after Thanksgiving and my hats lean to be more for girls, I needed to get one made up that would be appropriate for a little guy. My oldest daughter helped me out, since she knits faster than I do, she worked on it while I did Thanksgiving dinner, finishing it before she left that evening, yeah! Thank you Tina!
It was an on location shoot and their home was fantastic with large windows and space to be able to do natural light photos. The precious little guy was about a month old and not so little, he was at least 10 lbs. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get him into the basket along with the sandbag in the bottom to weigh it down for safety, as you can see he barely fit so I was able to get a few images. Being a little older than what I usually like for doing newborns, he wasn’t sure he wanted to sleep for me, but he finally gave in and fell asleep. Patience is a must in doing newborns.
It was a pleasure working with this precious little one and his parents.
Thank you for viewing and visiting my blog. Have a great day!
Until next time......
P.S. As always, comments welcomed.
Thank you Cher, I appreciate you taking the time to write a comment and a nice comment at that. I'll tell Tina that you liked the hat she made. With her help I now have a one for a girl and one for a boy, for I had already made one from the same pattern that was pink and grey. Thanks again.
These are really nice shots. I would have been concernednabout size too since he was a little beyond newborn tiny, although very very cute. You did a great job on this, and the hat is just fantastic......
